Global Connections Immersion Community

Global Connections Immersion Community

The Global Connections Program is a community within one of the First Year Residence Hall that focuses on fostering intercultural understanding, dialogue, and friendships. Students in this community will have a unique opportunity to engage in programs and events that facilitate an increased awareness about cultural differences and world events. Domestic and international students will be paired as roommates and will participate in experiences planned by the Global Connections community and the greater Emory community.

As a result of participation in the Global Connections Program, students will be able to:
• Articulate how cultural background and individual differences impact one’s experience
• Learn how to engage in respectful dialogue about international issues and how these issues impact the world in different ways
• Understand their role in the Emory community and the world as an agent of positive transformation and intercultural understanding

If you are interested in being considered to be a part of this cross-cultural community experience, please provide in-depth responses for each question below for up to 350 words total. If selected to be a member of this community, you acknowledge that your active participation and membership in this program is crucial to creation of a meaningful experience for all members.
